Thanks to everyone for all your support!It was great to see so many new artists, crafspeople and visitors this time - do continue to spread the word for us.We had some lovely feedback, and hope to have raised a significant amount of money for The Beaconsfield School (where our current project involves improvements within the Library). The art fair team will be taking a short (and much needed) break right now, before looking at what we might improve next time then getting straight on to organising spring 2012.For those of you who are superorganised and wish to get the dates in your diary now - our spring 2012 event will be held on 18th & 19th May 2012.Look out for photos from autumn 2011 which should appear on our website soon ... well, relatively soon anyway!

Sadly this year we've had to turn applications away. We've been oversubscribed for crafts, so do please book early for our next event in spring 2012. Several artists sent in applications just too long after the closing deadline; we do try to be flexible as far as possible but it's equally important that our finished result is professional. So sadly - to that end - we have had to say no to a few people this year. Hopefully they will try again in spring, and we urge everyone to check our website and make timely returns.It's great that word continues to spread; new artists and new crafts keep the event fresh and interesting. Having said that, we love our familiar faces too!Do come along this Friday 18th November or Saturday 19th November. We're hoping to beat our previous fundraising records - support us to help us achieve that goal. We look forward to giving you a warm welcome and an enjoyable visit.

Counting down to the opening of autumn 2011

With less than two weeks to go before we open our doors again, the excitement is building.We have more crafts people than ever before; growing numbers year on year.It's around now that the nerves really begin to kick in; have we forgotten anything? can we possibly get everything done in time? will the weather hold to encourage visitors through our doors? do we have a recession beating exhibition?Whilst we run around in a good imitation of headless chickens, all we ask you to do is to clear your diary and make sure you remember to come along. We hope to see you there, and look forward to welcoming visitors, both new and old.

Bookings for autumn 2011 now finalised

Whether your interest is in paintings, sculpture or craft, or you’re looking for a specific unique piece or just wish to do some Christmas shopping, we are sure to have something to appeal to you. By buying at the Art Fair you will be benefitting the local community –money raised will help fund exciting new projects at The Beaconsfield School.There will be a diverse selection of paintings in many media, from contemporary pieces to more traditional work; watercolours, oils, encaustic wax, pen and ink, photography and more. Many of our artists sell very affordable prints and handmade cards too. There will also be a wide variety of ceramics, sculptures and pieces formed of glass and other materials. Alongside the art we have many local craftspeople selling a broad variety of high quality, handmade and original work ranging from textiles and wood, to jewellery and pens, via dolls and hand bound books.As well as the art and craft on show, there will be an additional exhibition of student art. The Beaconsfield School (a Specialist Arts College) recently ran an internal competition on the theme of ‘movement and energy’; winning entries will form the design for bold and vibrant decoration of panels within the school grounds. Winners will be announced at the art fair, and winning entries will be on display.On Friday evening many artists will also be in attendance; enjoy first choice of the art we have on offer whilst enjoying a free drink and nibbles and chatting to the creators of the items you see.On Saturday, homemade refreshments will be served throughout the day.Admission to this event is still FREE, and once inside you will find prices for all pockets; starting from as little as a pound, going up to several hundred pounds for the more valuable pieces on sale. Do come along and join us – have a drink and enjoy the work on display.

The art fair team would just like to say a sincere thankyou to everyone involved in the autumn 2010 Beaconsfield Art Fair. Without our wonderful artists and craftspeople, all our lovely customers and of course the amazing team of volunteers who make it all possible - this event could not have grown to the success it is today.
It will take a while to do the maths, but we hope to have raised a healthy amount once again, and of course all funds raised will go directly to the benefit of The Beaconsfield School and all pupils who attend.

Well, we've all been rather busy. We've had so many applicants this time that we are having to turn people away. We hate doing that, but it's important to use our space wisely and really does give us more to look forward to in spring 2011. No. Wait. We still have a bit to do for autumn 2010!

This Art & Craft Fair benefits local artists and crafters as well as The Beaconsfield Schoool, and is a great opportunity for the school to do something in the community - we want to shout about it.

Our focus now is on spreading the word and ensuring our footfall is strong and healthy. You can help! Tell your friends, let everyone know they are welcome.

We will have more craft stalls than ever before - whilst maintaining the integrity of the event to ensure a high standard and a good variety of work; we have as much art and sculpture/ceramics as we are able to display! There has to be something for everyone.

Come along. Support local artists, support local crafters, and support one of our local schools! Take a wander around our spacious exhibits and tick off a few awkward Christmas presents, or maybe simply treat yourself at this otherwise busy time of year, then take a break and sample our lovely homemade refreshments. We look forward to welcoming you and your friends and your family! Please do spread the word ...

Spring success!

Weel, the hard work is over. Spring 2010 looks to have been another successful event. Final figures won't be counted for a few days yet (sorry, treasurer is still working hard ...) but initial reports are good.

With lots of visitors through the doors, many new artists and a wonderful spread of hung art, sculpture and ceramics, set off by a variety of beautiful crafts how could it not be deemed a success! We'll be updating the website soon with new pictures from this latest event.

The Art Fair committee and supporters will be taking a short break before the business begins all over again .... so here's to autumn 2010!
